According to a WTLT news report, the Auburn Police Department is investigating two separate auto accidents that happened over the weekend.
The first accident occurred at the intersection of North College Street and Magnolia Avenue at about 9 p.m. on Saturday night. According to reports, Corey A. Davenport, 23, hit two pedestrians and two cars that were parked on the street after losing control of his vehicle.
Davenport was uninjured. The two pedestrians he struck have been identified as Hector F. Hernandez-Corzo, 23, and Kathleen L. Holt, 28. Both were treated for non-life threatening injuries at nearby hospitals.
The second car accident that is under investigation occurred at the intersection of South College Street and Shug Jotdon Parkway at about midnight on Saturday night. According to reports, Benjamin H. Carr, 21, crashed into three cars after losing control of his Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Carr was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was critically injured in the accident. Both accidents are under investigation.
